This business, in short, is staffed by illogical, unprofessional, and frankly racist people. I cannot speak to the furniture aspect per se, I can definitely describe my awful experience with whom I assume to be the manager:

I walked in, and politely asked who I am assuming is the manager, if he had found a wallet. He said yes, but looked very suspicious. While I most certainly do not look like my friend, I made it clear that I had proof that I was not there to steal it by showing him a screenshot of the email the Dean had sent to my friend. He still refused, saying he did not believe me. I said I could call campus police at school (who know me and my friend), but he wanted me to call the Dean. I said I would, but since it's a Saturday he would likely not be in his office. He didn't answer, so I offered to show the man my own ID, and pictures from Facebook that prove that my friend and I know each other. He still refused, to which I said that it I felt a little hurt that he did not trust me when I offered so much evidence. He said he would rather hurt my feelings than give the wallet to me, and that he would give it to campus police after closing. I said that it was ridiculous he wouldn't give back my friend's wallet, which is a necessity and something that she needs to get to school and back in the first place (she's a commuter), despite the overwhelming evidence I provided (I should note that logically speaking, it would be nigh impossible for someone to be there to steal the wallet, considering the only people who knew the whereabouts of the wallet [or that there was a wallet lost in the parking lot] were the Dean and the manager, and the Dean only sent out the email to my friend). He proceeded to say, I kid you not, "I would rather throw the wallet in the trash than give it to you."

Absolutely shameful behavior.

This is what prompted me to realize that this man was either a complete a**hole, a racist, stupidly paranoid, or an awful combination of all three. I told him that I did not like his attitude in regard to his last comment. He said he didn't care, and that he wanted me to get out. I was shocked, and said I thought he was doing the wrong thing, but I proceeded to leave. He then called me back and condescendingly told me that we weren't allowed to park in the parking lot overnight. I told him about my friend vomiting. He then scoffed and said, "That's what happens when you drink too much." This is hugely insulting, not only for his assumption, but also because my friend is Mormon and completely sober. I told him so, and walked out the door whilst exclaiming that I will NEVER do business with Holston Furniture, and make sure my friends don't, either.

Both of us are college students at Emory & Henry, which is five minutes away. The Dean of Students, who is very well acquainted with both of us (he knows me from Greek Council and SGA), sent my friend an email saying that her wallet was found in the parking lot. Obviously, my friend was very relieved to know her wallet was found, considering its vitality. My friend plays softball and had practice during the hours Holston Furniture is open, so obviously she could not be there herself to get her wallet. She asked me to pick it up for her, giving me photo evidence that she had asked me to do so by screenshotting the email the Dean had sent to her.

Great place to pick up American made furniture, not that stuff that falls apart from Ashleys. Pricing is reasonable and free local delivery, most of the time I can get same or next day delivery. Localy owned and operated.

My friend had lost her wallet in the parking lot after a bout of food poisoning- we had pulled off the interstate quickly and parked for no more than five minutes in the Holston Furniture parking lot. She got out of the car, and right back in; we made sure not to loiter. At this point her wallet must have fallen out of her back pocket, because when we returned to my room, we couldn't find it. We searched everywhere that night and it didn't turn up.

Big selection. Right off 81 opposite side of bridge from Loves truckstop.

Really loved the people at this family business. They're not out for your last dime - helpful, patient, knowledgeable. Huge selection. I guess the fact that they're out in the middle of nowhere helps keep the prices low. They have a large inventory. Very small sign out front - look for the big old school building with white columns.

Great prices on furniture. Nice salesman

In conclusion, if this is how this man treats genuine, honest people, then I can't imagine him doing a good job with his customers.
